Meeting the Mayor

We had a long talk, through Derick and his friend Plamen, with Telish's Mayor. Here she is with Derick in front of a picture of a founding father of Bulgaria, whose name escapes me.

Split, Croatia

We left the group after Korcula and headed off with Derick to Split, which is also a beautiful walled town but less chock-full of tourists than Dubrovnik. A great town.

We don't know why either. Thankfully, someone decided we should quit swimming when it got dark.

Cruising around Korcula

Our two awesome captains Jim and Milcho cruised us around Korcula and the gorgeous surrounding islands. We had a few problems, mostly associated with the excess of plastic present in the Adriatic that was constantly stuck in our propeller. Thankfully, Jim B was prepared with a scuba knife and all was well.

We met up in Korcula with the Bosworth-Uznovs, Jen and Milcho. We had a fabulous time eating, drinking and swimming, as evidenced here.... Here you see just a bit of the eating....
